Jet-Setter Who Faked Death Slit His Wrist

Marcus Schrenker lived his high-flying life buying $100 bottles of wine for friends and living in a million-dollar mansion with his stunning blond wife, but he almost ended it in a pool of blood in a pup tent with a six-pack of cheap beer.

When federal agents finally caught up to the Houdini-like financial scammer - who went to elaborate lengths to fake his own death - his life had nearly ebbed away after he slashed his wrist, and he could barely manage to utter the word "die" as they tried to save him.

Just a day earlier, he had stunningly tried to fake his own death parachuting from a plane that he let crash after radioing a phony distress call and darting off on the motorcycle he had stashed in an Alabama storage bin.
