PATHETIC O.J. IS JAILED AT LAST!

A Vegas judge read O.J. Simpson the riot act yesterday and sent the self-pitying, disgraced gridiron star to rot in prison until he's at least 70 years old for staging an armed robbery and kidnapping.

In the sentence:

* Simpson must serve a minimum of nine years in state prison, after which he's eligible for parole.

* He was given 15 years for the top charge of kidnapping. He must do an additional one to six years for using a gun in the crime.

* He must serve two consecutive sentences of 1½ to six years for assault with a deadly weapon.

* All other convictions will be served concurrently, meaning Simpson could conceivably stay locked up for 33 years.

Simpson's lead defense lawyer Yale Galanter said the one-time football hero and Madison Avenue superstar was speaking "from the heart" when he begged for mercy.Simpson spoke as his daughter from his first marriage and two sisters watched from the front row, behind the defense table. His two children with Nicole Brown Simpson - the ex-wife whom he was accused of murdering in 1994 - were not present.
