An empty NYC?


Bad economic has many NYers looking abroad

Now that the street of New York-and America are no longer paved with gold, it's time for NYers to find the next land of opportunity.
A large number of New Yorkers are looking for the new World Trade Centers of Shanghai and Sao Paulo. And many entrepreneurs are finding second careers in Dubai and Moscow.

Just like You would move from Cleveland to NYC, there is people now that move from NYC to Paris with one-way ticket, said Scoot Sullivan of GMAC, a global relocation firm that helps employers and workers transition to job overseas.

International companies will be looking to scoop up top-tier candidates laid off from Wall Street firms and the interest goes both ways. Meanwhile, international assignments are increasingly used to train workers as managers, according to a recent GMAC survey.

A survey of 154 companies around the world identified the destinations that are emerging as the most popular to relocate employees.
